I recently used an anchor chart on making inferences, and let me tell you, it was incredibly successful!!! My students loved it, and it allowed them to get involved in the lesson, making the learning their own! It was also great because it gave them a visual to go by when reading a story! There will definitely be more anchor charts to come!
Hi ya'll! I am so excited to be at SHJHS this year! Instead of all those "get to know you" icebreakers I want to have a conversation with you. What I am specifically looking for is: your absolute favorite flavor of ice cream, a brief background of you and your family (you know your birthday, how many sisters/brothers, your favorite aunt/uncle/cousin), and finally tell me about the most exciting trip you've ever taken (even if it was just a trip to Walmart!). Be creative! No judgement. Promise. Now that I've asked you all these questions, I'll answer them so you can get to know me!
Ice cream, well I love all types! My absolute favorite though, is chocolate moose tracts! I could eat that stuff at least 4 times a day! I don't otherwise i would have to buy new pants once a week...haha! As for my family, I've been married almost two years to the love of my life, Preston and we have a sweet baby girl named Brylee. I have one younger sister and my parents have been married for 25 years and growing up I had one dog named Baby. As for my favorite family member, definitely my Uncle Matt! Reason being he is incredible! He always takes up for me and is hilarious, especially on a gloomy day. Finally, the most exciting trip I've ever taken was to Paris, France! My dad took me for my senior trip and we spent four glorious days walking around, sight seeing, having a blast being tourist! My favorite part thoug was going to the top of the Eiffel Tower! You could see all of Paris plus some! It was truly magical! Okay now it's your turn! Don't forget to be specific and have fun! |
